Supplying the power for the Formula 382 are twin supercharged and electronically fuel-injected 575hp Mercury racing engines with 1.5:1 XR stern-drives and 15 5/8” x 28” five-blade stainless props. This configuration delivers superb handling and a solid ride even in rough seas. The engines are mounted on race plates through-bolted to the boat's grid system. Shoehorning these supercharged racing engines into the engine compartment must have taken some finesse. Nonetheless, the engine compartment is well thought out and accessibility is excellent. The space also houses a generator to provide electric power to run the air conditioning.

The quality of build is self-evident with heavy reinforcement throughout which gives peace of mind in even the heaviest of seas. The boat is beautifully crafted with a paint finish to delight the eye. All the hardware is heavy-duty including eight custom cleats. Bowmar hatches supply ventilation to the cabin. The integrated swim platform incorporates a fold-out ladder which makes getting in and out of the water for a dip, easy and convenient.

The helm station is fitted with Livorsi instruments in chrome bezels which match the throttles and shifters. A depth-sounder and Kenwood stereo with 10 disk changer are both fitted as standard.

The interior houses a large elegant V-berth and a superb U-shaped lounge immaculately upholstered in white and metallic-silver Ultraleather. The cabin has air conditioning, flat screen LCD TV with DVD player, refrigerator, and freshwater sink. There is a separate head compartment with pump-out toilet, macerator and tank.
