The 185 Bowrider from Bayliner comes fitted with a Mercury Mercruiser 135 hp 3.0 litre stern-drive engine as standard, with a 190 hp and a 220 hp version for those wanting a higher level of performance. There is also a 120 hp diesel option. The standard engine cruises at 28 mph burning only 24 litres per hour, whilst at the top end, at speeds of 41 mph this will increase to 40 litres per hour. The 106-litre fuel tank gives a range of over 100 miles.

On its trailer, the 185 Bowrider with a standard 135 hp engine weighs 1,313 kg; easily towed by a standard car. It can be stored in a surprisingly small space for a boat with so much room on-board. Its dimensions when rigged on its trailer are 6.63 m long by 2.36 m wide and 1.91 m high. Storage at home on the trailer has the additional advantage of lower maintenance-no barnacles to scrape off and no marina fees! You save time and money.

The 185, which can carry up to 8 people in comfort, also comes with a choice of three hull colours-blue, black and red. The hull has a transferable limited lifetime structural warranty, whilst the Mercury engine has a limited two-year warranty.

A choice of seating configurations is offered. The seating on-board is manufactured from Bayliner's revolutionary KidClean, protected-vinyl upholstery and extra packages are offered to tailor the boat for your favourite sport; all-in-all an excellent runabout.

The Bayliner is the ideal choice for the family. However in the future, expect to see a lot of these craft being used for watersports in resorts in the Andaman region, as they seek new aquatic activities for visitors. At under a million baht including trailer, this really does put affordable boating within the reach of all.
