The new Jeanneau 57 commands admiration

The first Jeanneau 57 has completed sea trials in France and is shaping up to be a most remarkable yacht. New for 2010, this 17.80m flagship of the Jeanneau product line holds an unequalled top-of-the-range position in the large yacht category.

This elegant offshore cruiser from Vittorio Garroni offers an exceptional interior and deck plan and is designed with ease of handling in mind. Every detail has been conceived to offer the highest quality cruising experience.

This is a new style of contemporary interior that reflects a long nautical heritage. Rich materials are found throughout including leather, wood flooring and stainless steel. Sleek windows and skylights bathe the interior in light.

Finely appointed cabins, spacious galley and luxurious lounge and dining areas make every moment onboard enjoyable and memorable.

The standard of finish is exceptional. The combination of elegant hull, innovative feel to the deck plan and incredible modernity of the interior layout on the Jeanneau 57 has already won the hearts of the brand’s customers.

During sea trials at Sables d’Olonne excellent results were achieved across the board. Tests of performance with furling gear or fully battened mainsail, safety at sea and manoeuvrability with short-handed crew were all positive. Comfort on board whether on deck or down below was exceptional with the latter spaces able to be configured as desired.

New technical solutions have been introduced including the innovative companionway with two large sliding doors, the electric platform with integrated dinghy garage, the latest generation Volkswagen Marine TDI 140-5 engine, which has proved impressively silent, more than 158 square metres of made-to-measure sails and the latest generation of Harken electric winches.

The splendid contemporary saloon reflects its nautical heritage.

The Jeanneau 57 can carry more than eight people and provides wonderful panoramic views through the generous side and front windows.

The finest materials have been meticulously chosen – top quality leathers and a multitude of mouldings in the pure Jeanneau boat-building tradition.

With the option of three, four or five superb cabins with private head compartments, the Jeanneau 57 offers a standard of extraordinary comfort at a most attractive price for boats of this length.
