Princess V Class sports yachts are renowned for high performance and the V85 is no exception, with a deep V hull and a choice of the latest twin Caterpillar diesel engines each turning out 1825 horse power or MTU 16v 2000 M92 units with a power output of 2180 horse power per unit. Both options give speeds close to 40 knots.

The efficient, modified deep V-hull allows searing performance but incorporates the handling advantages of conventional drive with a consistent, stable ride throughout the speed range and precise maneuverability at close quarters. Adjustable trim tabs are electrically powered and indicators are installed on both stations. The steering system is power assisted and 300kgf bow thrusters are standard. The hydraulic anchor winch and stern line mooring winches are all powered and are operable from both steering positions.

Distinctively for a sports yacht, the V85 incorporates for the first time, a flying bridge which is cleverly hidden within the sleek, raked profile into the hard top, and thus offers a unique upper deck with a second helm station, full repeat controls and additional entertaining space including a large seating area and refrigerated cool box.

The spacious cockpit has a comfortable seating and dining area for eight as well as a bar area. The forward area of the large saloon incorporates a sliding roof which opens over the helm position and the dining area. The saloon has cocktail cabinet refrigerator and icemaker. A sliding door to starboard gives access to the side deck. The large main deck, is designed with an open-plan layout to create a vast entertaining space for relaxing and sunbathing. This is an excellent use of space and yet access to all areas is easy and safe in all weather conditions. The V85 also features a large mezzanine galley which has the option of being fully enclosed or open plan. It is equipped with a combination microwave cum conventional oven and grill.

With a full beam owner's cabin and three additional guest cabins the lower accommodation provides comfortable and luxurious accommodation for eight in two large staterooms and two twin cabins, each with en-suite facilities. They share a contemporary feel and are beautifully appointed with the very best natural materials and fabrics. Both staterooms have LCD

television screens and DVD/surround sound systems. The saloon is similarly equipped. The flybridge also features a stereo audio system. All interior areas are fully air-conditioned.

The owner’s suite provides exceptional views from a private breakfast area through large vertical port lights which are now a signature feature of the Princess range, adding light to the interior and a slightly aggressive edge to the beautiful exterior lines.

Incorporating a double garage for a 4m RIB and wetbike, a hydraulic up/ down bathing platform and a foredeck seating area, the Princess V85 is the ultimate base for enjoying the excitement of the ocean.

There are two crew cabins together with a galley and mess area accessible from the starboard side deck. Each cabin can be fitted with one or two berths allowing for a crew of up to four.
