This superb weekender with excellent build quality offers lots of space to accommodate all the family but still enables you to access those tranquil retreats that hitherto you only dreamed about visiting.

With a maximum speed of up to 42 knots (depending on engine option), as soon as you have cleared the marina you are up on the plane and speeding towards that idyllic beach. The helm position features comfortable seating and easy-to-read instrumentation with all the controls at your fingertips. Compass, GPS, chart-plotter, radar and VHF radio all come as standard so you have all the aids for easy navigation to reach your favourite destinations. When you get there the remote control electric anchor winch easily allows you to moor just off that white sandy beach and slip in for a dip.

You have a choice of twin four-stroke outboards from Suzuki or Yamaha or twin Volvo diesels, my personal choice for maximum safety and increased space on the swim platform. The outboards will give a slightly higher top speed because of the power-to-weight ratio advantage, but the 33 to 35 knots from the twin 300 hp Volvo diesels give a comfortable ride even in a choppy sea.

With the captain at the helm there is still plenty of space on deck for a sun bed under the bimini or to relax on the crescent-shaped deck settee where you can experience the thrill of the ride! A wet bar completes the deck, but you will have to nip down to the galley to get the tonic out of the fridge. The wide steps to the galley will make sure that you don't spill your drinks on the way back. The teak swimming platform, swim ladder and hot and cold shower are all designed to ensure a comfortable experience at anchor.

The saloon and galley are well fitted out and have a real leather settee that is beside a cherrywood and glass cocktail table. The galley has a refrigerator, oven, twin-element glass electric hob with fan extractor and a good sized sink. The head with shower, wash hand basin and electric toilet is surprisingly spacious for a craft of this size. The forward VIP stateroom with double bed and his and hers steps to each side, has a CD/DVD player and 17” LCD TV. The guest or family cabin has a double berth and is well proportioned for a 38-footer. All storage space is well thought out and has marine type push locks to ensure that cupboards can’t fly open in heavy seas.

An AC generator of 6.5 to 9.5 KVA is available as an optional extra. Shore power with a battery charger is standard with an impressive 220 Volt and 12 Volt DC switch panel. The hot and cold water system is a luxurious standard feature as is an automatic bilge pump.

A 32” LCD TV can be installed as an extra and fits snugly on the saloon wall.
